Calling hours and do-not-call

ProspectingView only dials a person between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in their local time, with stricter hours where state law requires them, such as Florida and Washington. Before every call it checks the number against do-not-call lists, including your workspace’s own list. A number on a do-not-call list is never dialed, and an opt-out on one channel stops the others too.

  • These checks are automatic for every dialing session. You don’t need to turn them on.
  • You remain responsible for following the telemarketing and do-not-call rules that apply to you. ProspectingView does not give legal advice.
  • The federal rule allows calls between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the called person’s local time (47 CFR 64.1200). Some states are stricter; ProspectingView applies the stricter hours where they apply.
  • When a person’s time zone isn’t certain, for example a mobile number from another state, the call must be allowed in every time zone they could be in.
  • A contact can also have their own quiet hours. Set them in Communication Preferences on the contact: No calls before and No calls after.

When nobody left on a list can be called yet, the dialer shows Waiting for the next call window and waits.

  1. Open the contact.
  2. Open Communication Preferences.
  3. Under Calls, switch off Callable for the number. To stop all contact with this person at once, press Opt out of everything and confirm.
  4. Press Done.

Every change is recorded in this contact’s consent history. The call button on a blocked number says Can’t call — this number is on Do Not Call.

To unblock a number, switch Callable back on. Only do this if the person has asked to be called again.

  • An outcome can mark the number do-not-call when you record it: an Admin or Manager adds Mark Do Not Call (compliance) to that outcome in Settings › Call outcomes.
  • A person who asks you to stop calling should get an outcome that means never contact again.

It was outside calling hours, inside the contact’s quiet hours, on a do-not-call list, called within your recently-called window, or had no phone number.

Yes. Consent to calls and emails is kept per phone number and per email address in Communication Preferences, with every change recorded. For recording consent, see Call recording and consent.
