What ProspectingAlpha is
ProspectingAlpha is ProspectingView’s buyer and seller matching. You record what each buyer is looking for as a Buy Box, and what each seller is offering as a Sell Box. ProspectingAlpha compares them continuously, ranks each match as a Strong, Good or Possible match, and shows why it fits, criterion by criterion. It also suggests unlisted buildings in your workspace worth a call to their owner.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”In the side menu, open ProspectingAlpha:
- Buyer Needs: your Buy Boxes (what buyers want) and Sell Boxes (what sellers offer), on two tabs.
- Matches: buyer needs matched to your properties, and off-market ideas.
Admins and Managers set what matters most in Settings › ProspectingAlpha tuning.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Record a buyer’s needs. Property type, location, price, size, cap rate, tenancy, timeline and anything else they insist on. See Buyer Needs.
- Record what sellers offer. A Sell Box links to a property in your workspace. Only Sell Boxes marked Active are matched.
- Matching runs automatically. Whenever a buyer’s needs or an offering changes, ProspectingAlpha looks for fits. New matches appear under Matches, with a count in the side menu.
- Read why it fits. Each match lists each criterion as Fits, Outside, Not on file or Anything works, so you can judge it in seconds.
- Act on it. Send the property to the buyer from your own mailbox, create a deal, or set the match aside. See Matches and offers.
Off-market ideas
Section titled “Off-market ideas”ProspectingAlpha also looks at buildings in your workspace that are not on the market. When one fits a buyer, it appears as an Off-market idea, marked Not listed — worth a call. It shows the owner, how long they have held it and when you last contacted them. Press Call the owner to start.
Who can see matches
Section titled “Who can see matches”Matches are found within your own workspace: your buyers against your sellers and your properties. Nothing is shared with other firms.

Section titled “I have no matches yet”Matching needs at least one Buy Box and at least one Active Sell Box or property that could fit. Check that your Sell Boxes are published: a draft shows Publish as Active.
Why is a good-looking property ranked lower?
Section titled “Why is a good-looking property ranked lower?”Rankings depend on how closely each criterion fits and on what your workspace weighs most. An Admin or Manager can change that in Settings › ProspectingAlpha tuning. Tuning changes the order of matches, never which ones qualify.
