Import from HubSpot
To move from HubSpot, export your contacts, companies and deals from HubSpot, put them on separate tabs of one Excel workbook, and upload it in ProspectingView with + › Upload File. ProspectingView recognizes HubSpot’s headers and uses HubSpot’s Record ID columns and association exports to link each contact to its company, deals and properties. Review the wizard and press Apply Import.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- In HubSpot, export each object you want (contacts, companies, deals) with all properties. Include the Record ID column.
- To keep the links between records, also export the associations, for example contact to deal. HubSpot exports them as separate files with two Record ID columns.
- Put each export on its own tab of one Excel workbook (.xlsx), 25 MB or smaller. One workbook keeps the links; separate uploads can’t see each other.
- In ProspectingView, open ProspectingView in the side menu, press + and choose Upload File.
- Drop the workbook in Upload Spreadsheet, name the import, and press Upload.
- On Review sheets, check each tab’s role: Contacts, Companies, Deals, Properties, and Connections for the association tabs. Rows are identified by your “Record ID” column, the ID from the system you exported from.
- Skip tabs that are not records, such as a picklist or summary tab: choose Skip this sheet.
- On Connections, check how the tabs link. An association tab shows as a Connector sheet: each row connects a contact to a deal or a property.
- Continue through the column steps. HubSpot’s lifecycle stage, lead status and deal stage columns are matched to the matching fields in ProspectingView.
- Check Invalid Rows, then press Confirm Import and Apply Import.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Your contacts, companies and deals appear in the grids, linked the way they were in HubSpot. Deal stages and lead statuses that don’t exist in your workspace yet can be added in Settings › Lists by an Admin or Manager.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”My contacts came in but aren’t linked to their deals
Section titled “My contacts came in but aren’t linked to their deals”The association tab was missing or was skipped. Re-upload the workbook with the association export on its own tab; contacts already imported are matched, not duplicated.
My workbook has a tab of dropdown values or a summary
Section titled “My workbook has a tab of dropdown values or a summary”HubSpot exports sometimes include a tab of picklist values or a summary. On Review sheets, set that tab’s Sheet role to Skip this sheet before you continue.
