Fix invalid rows in an import
Rows with values ProspectingView can’t save, such as an unreadable phone number or a malformed email, appear on the Invalid Rows step of the import wizard. For each one, correct the value and press Re-check, or press Drop row to leave it out. You must fix or drop every invalid row before you can continue.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You are in the import wizard. See The import wizard, step by step.
- Go to the Invalid Rows step. Each problem row shows as Row and its number, the tab it came from, and how many errors it has.
- Look at Cells flagged on this row to see which values are wrong.
- To fix it, press Fix Row, correct the value, then press Re-check. The row leaves the list when it is valid.
- To leave it out, press Drop row. Changed your mind? Press Undo.
- To leave out every remaining invalid row at once, press Drop all.
- Press Continue.
Check what is left out
Section titled “Check what is left out”On the Confirm step, the Not going in panel lists the rows and columns that will not be imported, for example “25 rows · 31 phone numbers”, with sample values. If something there should come in, go back and map the column or keep the row.
After you apply
Section titled “After you apply”Some problems only show up while records are added. The finished import lists them under Show rows that couldn’t be imported, each with a reason. Examples: Phone number couldn’t be read, ZIP code looks wrong or Couldn’t find the property this row belongs to. Press Try these rows again after fixing the cause.
Troubleshooting

Section titled “A row says “Extra values for the row above””Some exports put a second phone or email for the same person on the next row. ProspectingView recognizes this and adds those values to the row above, so the row is not a separate record.
It says “No editable values are available for this error”
Section titled “It says “No editable values are available for this error””The problem is in a field that isn’t matched to a column in your file. Press Re-check to check the row as it is, or drop it.
I dropped rows last time. Do I have to drop them again?
Section titled “I dropped rows last time. Do I have to drop them again?”No. When you import the same file again, rows you dropped before are dropped automatically, marked “you dropped this row on a previous upload”.
