Set up voicemail drop
Voicemail drop leaves a pre-written voicemail with one click. Record a short sample of your voice once in Settings › Voice & voicemail. Write a script with fill-in fields such as the lead’s first name. Then turn on Voicemail drop when you start a dialing session. When a call reaches voicemail, press Drop voicemail: your message plays after the beep, in your voice, while you move on.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Voicemail drop is included in the Max and Enterprise plans and in the free trial. See plans and pricing for what each plan includes.
- A quiet room and your computer’s microphone or a wired headset. Bluetooth microphones make your voice sound thin, and the copy of your voice picks that up.
- Leaving a pre-recorded voicemail may require the recipient’s prior consent, especially on mobile numbers. Only turn it on for lists where you have that consent.
Record your voice
Section titled “Record your voice”- Open Settings › Voice & voicemail.
- Under Your voice, press Record my voice.
- Read the paragraph on screen out loud at a natural pace, the way you would leave a voicemail. Recording stops by itself at 30 seconds; 10 seconds is the minimum.
- Listen back. If you are happy, tick This is my own voice. I authorize ProspectingView to generate voicemail audio that sounds like me, for messages I write and choose to send.
- Press Save voice. Processing takes a moment. Then press Hear your cloned voice to check it.
To fine-tune it, press Adjust how your voice sounds and change Expressiveness, Pacing or Speed. Generate test clip lets you hear a setting before you save it.
Write a voicemail script
Section titled “Write a voicemail script”- On the same page, add a new voicemail script.
- Enter a Title and choose the Language.
- Write the Message. Press the chips to insert First name, Property address, My name or My callback number. For example: “Hey {firstName}, this is {agentName} calling about {propertyAddress}. Give me a call back at {callbackNumber} when you get a chance.”
- Optionally write a Fallback version for leads whose details are missing. Leave it blank to use an automatic version.
- Check How it will sound, switching between Sample lead and Generic fallback.
- Press Create script. Audio is generated in your voice; the script shows Ready when it can be used. Star a script to make it your default.
If your script reads back your callback number, set a default outbound number in Settings › Phone › My calling settings.
Drop a voicemail during a session
Section titled “Drop a voicemail during a session”- When you start a session, switch on Voicemail drop under Recording & voicemail. You confirm you have consent to leave recorded voicemails for the people on the list.
- When a call reaches voicemail, press Drop voicemail.
- The message plays after the beep, personalized for that lead. The call’s outcome is recorded as Voicemail left, and you move on.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Drop voicemail is greyed out
Section titled “Drop voicemail is greyed out”Voicemail drop was off when the session started, or you have no ready script. Stop the session, check Settings › Voice & voicemail, and start again with Voicemail drop on.
My voice sounds flat or rushed
Section titled “My voice sounds flat or rushed”Record again with your computer’s microphone, at the pace you would really leave a voicemail. Or use Adjust how your voice sounds.
A script says “Not your latest voice”
Section titled “A script says “Not your latest voice””You re-recorded your voice after creating that script. Regenerate the script’s audio from its menu so it sounds like your new recording.
